Alice in Wonderland

Alice Liddell, the young girl who inspired Lewis Carroll to write the famous Alice in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass tales, spent many a happy childhood holiday with her family in Llandudno during the 1860s and 1870s. This connection with Alice has been marked by a series of wooden figures from the tales including the Queen of Hearts, the Mad Hatter and the White Rabbit placed around the town at locations between the railway station and Happy Valley.

There are also a series of excellent 3D digital Apps.  The White Rabbit App Trail 1 is an adventure into Wonderland taking you on a journey in and around Llandudno.  The Alice’s Looking Glass App Trail 2 sees her imagination running wild in the form of Jabberwocky and to defeat him she needs to get help along the way.  The Alice Origins App allows you to meet the Wonderland characters and with the Learn Welsh with Alice App, you can learn in a fun and mad guide useful Welsh words and phrases. Visit the website to download the Apps to your phone or to Google Play.
