Alice in Wonderland
Alice Liddell, the young girl who inspired Lewis Carroll to write the famous Alice in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass tales, spent many a happy childhood holiday with her family in Llandudno during the 1860s and 1870s. This connection with Alice has been marked by a series of wooden figures from the tales including the Queen of Hearts, the Mad Hatter and the White Rabbit placed around the town at locations between the railway station and Happy Valley.
