We all know fashion keeps changing and with weddings it’s just the same. Sara Kyle-Williams, one of our wedding co-ordinators who was at the Fayre takes up the story;
“Tradition seems to be very much back in vogue with the majority of couples planning a church wedding, followed by a Wedding Breakfast and then an Evening Reception. Seaside hotels are very popular for the celebrations with the photo opportunities it naturally presents fairly high up the priority list, but what was interesting is that very near the top of that list was the need for a venue that also had sufficient accommodation - making life as easy as possible for guests to attend was very important.
“The Fashion Show highlighted that elegance and sophistication is back with very tailored and detailed lace wedding dresses. Style is more fitted and there were quite a few fishtails designs. There were also designs with quite a lot of glitz with diamantes and sequins. Bridesmaids and mothers-of-the-bride are again elegant and sophisticated and in pastel colours so think soft peaches, greens and lilac which is very different from a couple of years ago when bold and strong was the order of the day!
“Offering guests a fun element is also rising in popularity with Sweet Carts, Photo Booths with props, selfie sticks on tables replacing the throw-away cameras and even entertainment for children to keep them amused and even distracted so the adults can enjoy their Wedding Breakfast in peace and quiet.”
