Calan Gaeaf: Autumn Garden Trail
10 October @ 10:30 am - 3 November @ 4:00 pm
This Autumn, Penrhyn Castle is celebrating the “Cynhaeaf” (Harvest) by looking at how the garden prepares for the cold snap. The West festival Calan Gaeaf signals the night before the first day of Winter in the Celtic calendar. Visit the Castle for a sensory journey around the garden to look at how nature and the gardeners prepare for Winter and learn why trees shred their leaves and how you wrap up warm ready for hibernation.
