Llandudno

The world’s last sea-going paddle steamer is returning to North Wales and the best part is, you may be able to spot it from the window of our sea front hotel in Llandudno.

This wonderful ship will be at Llandudno Pier, a 15 minute-walk from our Llandudno hotel, from Thursday 29th May to Sunday 1st June, offering the whole family a unique maritime experience during the May half term.​

 

Bodnant Garden

Just 15-minutes from our Llandudno hotel, spend the day outside walking and wandering through the stunning National Trust attraction of Bodnant Garden – offering the perfect blend of nature and engaging fun activities for everyone. 80-acres, play zones and areas and plenty of wonderful spring flora to enjoy will keep everyone entertained all day.

When it’s time to rest and refuel, choose between the Pavilion Tearoom or the Dell Kiosk for takeaway snacks and drinks, or pack a picnic and find a peaceful spot to sit and relax before you continue your journey through this amazing garden.

 

Manorafon Farm Park

When you’re on a family break you need a hearty breakfast to fuel the troops, then it’s time for the whole family to head to Manorafon Farm Park, less than 25-minutes from our North Wales hotel.

A family-friendly ‘hands-on’ farm with animal encounters, play areas and attractions to suit all ages.

From 24th May – 1st June, you can meet the cute new farm arrivals at the baby barn and new for 2025 is the Dinosaur Trail – ‘walk amongst towering Jurassic giants like T-Rex, Brachiosaurus, and a pack of Raptors, all roaring and moving!’

 

The Alice in Wonderland Trail

Our seaside town of Llandudno has embraced its connection to Alice in Wonderland, creating a family-friendly way to explore the area on foot.

During your family break in North Wales a short 8-minute walk will get you to the Llandudno Town Hall where this trail begins. But first, stop at the Llandudno Tourist Information Centre in the Victoria Shopping Centre to buy the detailed leaflet and trail map.

The family-friendly Alice in Wonderland trail invites you to discover our Victorian coastal town. Enjoy wandering and exploring to find and follow the newly refurbished sculptures and newly added statues of the delightfully peculiar characters from Alice’s adventures sprinkled around town.

 

Greenwood Family Park

Take a 35-minute coastal drive to the delightful family-friendly GreenWood Forest Park. An award-winning family adventure park with sustainability at its heart.

Jump on Solar Splash, the UK’s first solar-powered ride, race around in the MoonKarts and enjoy the ‘people-powered’ Green Dragon Roller Coaster; take on the TreeTop Towers and try your luck in the Dragon Maze, then slow things down and relax with the animals at the petting area.

 

Anglesey Sea Zoo

Hop in the car and make a day of it; head to Ynys Môn (Anglesey), approximately 40 minutes from our Llandudno hotel to visit the fascinating Anglesey Sea Zoo.

A unique aquarium, home to more than 40 tanks with over 150 native marine species of fish and sea life. An unforgettable day-out for the whole family this May half term, as you explore their different aquarium areas and exhibits, including the seahorse exhibit, cold-water Pier Tank, Shark and Ray Pool and the No Bone Zone that’s full of jellyfish.

This May not only can you and the whole family learn, observe and discover the fascinating world that is British marine wildlife, but you will be supporting the conservation work that the centre does to preserve and save British marine habitats.
