For lovers of fairs and festivals, autumn is a fantastic time to visit North Wales, with small and local events happening between September and November. Our Llandudno hotel will be your base, so after a day of wandering and perusing stalls and tasting delicious local Welsh flavours, you can sit back and relax, and book a table at Chantrey’s, our two AA rosette restaurant showcasing modern dishes created from local, seasonal and market fresh produce.

There’s the Conwy Honey Fair, believed to be one of Britain’s oldest food festivals, this charming 700-year-old Royal Charter Fair is bustling with stalls selling honey and hive products and crafts.

For those who love crafts, perusing beautiful artwork and stalls of handmade products, visit the pop-up Contemporary Craft Fair at Mostyn. There’ll be ‘13 stalls with a variety of artists, designers and makers from Wales and the rest of the UK.’
4th October 2025
Foodies will want to pop to the Denbigh Plum Feast. A local and cherished celebration of the native Denbigh Plum as well as local produce. The Denbigh Plum is estimated to be over 300 years old and the only native plum in Wales.
31st October – 2nd November 2025
A short walk from our Llandudno hotel, enjoy the Wales Whisky Fest. Celebrating its second year, the Wales Whisky Festival is returning to Llandudno after last year’s resounding success. Tickets include samples of whiskies from around the world, snacks and Welsh artisan Poblado Coffi, and a free tour at Penderyn Distillery Llandudno.

Plan a visit to the Royal Welsh Winter Fair. One of the best country shows in Europe, the Winter Fair is two days of celebrations, competitions and festive shopping opportunities. ‘The food hall features an excellent range of food and drink from very best Welsh producers including Aber Falls, Caws Teifi Cheese, Welsh Lady Preserves, Wickedly Welsh Chocolate Company, Ridiculously Rich by Alana and Celtic Spirit Company.’
Autumnal Foraging
Autumn is the time of foraging so why not book a guided Foraging and Wild Food Course and learn the essentials about edible species of the British countryside with the Wild Food People.
Their most popular course, it’s perfect for beginners and enthusiasts alike, set in a private 90-acre woodland. The course not only covers ‘prominent edible and toxic species of plants, trees and fungi’ but also ‘the basics of identification, using ID resources and overviews of foraging law, ethics and ecology’, led by an experienced instructor.
