Schools Out For Summer! Family Fun Activities To Enjoy

Are you thinking about how you can entertain the children for summer breaks in Llandudno? Well, Llandudno has plenty to offer, and we have created the perfect list to keep them entertained.

Bodafon Farm

Fun for the whole family, take a visit to Bodafon Farm to meet Llamas, donkeys, Red Deer, Geese, Ducks, wild birds, owls and more! You can also get the chance to  feed some of the animals living on the farm too! Located close to the beach, you get the best of both worlds in Llandudno, from seaside to countryside environments. 

On the farm, there is a bar and restaurant open for visitors. Choose from a range of traditional homemade pizza and sweet traits at the cafe on site. Bodafon Farm is a great location to take in the picturesque views of the Great Orme too. 

Bonkerz Fun Centre

The perfect destination for adventures, Bonkerz Fun Centre is a soft play area for children to enjoy heaps of fun. Weather not great? Don’t worry, this indoor soft play area will keep the kids entertained no matter the weather. 

There’s a cafe on site too which is open daily, great for some much needed energy boost from the range of food and drinks available. Booking is essential and you can find out more below.

Alice in Wonderland Trail

Fun for the whole family to get involved in and enjoy, follow the Alice in Wonderland Trail around the Welsh town of Llandudno. On route, you will follow the 55 bronze rabbit footprints, where you will catch the site of Alice in Wonderland character sculptures along the way, including both the Mad Hatter and the White Rabbit.

Take A Trip To The Beach

Right on our doorstep, you can take a trip to the North Shore Beach of Llandudno. There are actually two beaches to explore in Llandudno, with the second situated on the West Shore. This is often quieter than the North Shore beach, so if you’re looking to escape the large crowds, heading over to West Shore beach is the perfect location. Don’t forget your bucket and spade!

Mostyn Art Gallery

Capture the work of both local and Worldwide artists at MOSTYN Art Gallery in Llandudno. Entry is free, making it the perfect spot to add to your itinerary. On site, you will also find a shop and Oriel Cafe, with sandwiches, salads, Central Asian dishes and delicious sweet treats. Vegan and vegetarian options are also available.

City Sightseeing Llandudno Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus Tour

To capture all the sites around Llandudno, hopping on the City Sightseeing bus is a great way to take in the Welsh town. Enjoy a full day of sightseeing, browsing through the highstreet shops, Llandudno pier, taking in the views of Conwy Castle, plus the Great Orme too!

On board, there is recorded commentary, so you’ll learn all about the local area whilst passing through.

Rocky Pines Adventure Golf

Sitting at the top of The Summit Complex, you can play a game of Golf at Rocky Pines Adventure Golf. This is a 18 hole adventure course, great for all age groups to get involved in. On the site, you can stop by the cafe for a bite to eat. At present, there is no need to book! Simply drop by and request to play a game of Crazy Gold – good luck!

Llandudno Pier

Completed in 1878, Llandudno Pier is the longest Pier in Wales, filled with arcades, fairground rides, shops, cafes and even a bar which sits at the end of the pier. From traditional beach shops to novelty gifts, you will find a range of treasures perfect for souvenirs of your visit to Llandudno. Occasionally, live music is also played on the pier. The beach, sunshine and live music – perfect! 

If you are a family who enjoy fishing, there is also an opportunity to do this at the end of the pier. Fishing permits are available at the Pier Head Cafe.
