Many congratulations to Geoff Lofthouse, our general manager, who completed the Deloitte Ride Across Britain last month and not only cycled 960 miles over 9 days but also crossed the line in a very admirable position of 115 out of 700 cyclists!
Modern technology came into its own as Geoff posted daily updates via Twitter allowing us to keep tabs on his progress. The challenge sounding gruelling to say the least so we were more than impressed to see him back on duty in the hotel the very next day and looking as if he’d just cycled around the corner!
Thank you to everyone who very kindly sponsored Geoff and help him raise over £5,500 for Diabetes Cymru UK and Dementia UK.
But the story doesn’t end there as Geoff is about to sign on the dotted line for doing the challenge again next year but this time it’s in reverse so from John O’Groats to Lands End if only it was downhill all the way!
