What’s On In Llandudno: Spring 2024

Spring is in the air, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! As we bid farewell to winter’s chill, we eagerly welcome the blossoming beauty of Llandudno in Spring 2024. It’s time to shed those winter coats and embrace the sun-soaked adventures that lie ahead. From vibrant flower festivals and charming seaside strolls to delectable food fairs and captivating cultural events, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. So, dust off your walking shoes, grab your sunglasses, and get ready to immerse yourself in the magic of spring in Llandudno. Let’s make this season one to remember!

 

1st – 23rd March – Sarah Carvell Major Solo Exhibition at Ffin y Parc Gallery, Llandudno

Ffin y Parc Gallery has changing exhibitions by some of the finest artists working in Wales, alongside the best of 20th Century Contemporary Art. Sarah Carvell has successfully exhibited with this gallery on many occasions since 2016, and returns this year with another major solo exhibition art enthusiasts – especially those who appreciate expressive landscapes in an impasto painting technique.

 

1st March – St David’s Day Parade, Colwyn Bay

Head on over the Colwyn Bay, just a short 15 minute drive from The Imperial Hotel, for their annual St David’s Day Parade. The parade with feature hundreds of local schoolchildren, many wearing traditional Welsh dress, promising a fun day for all the family.

15th March – Opera Favourites (Spring), Venue Cymru

For the opera enthusiasts, or those who are curious to give it a go, this night of Opera Favourites at Venue Cymru Llandudno is not to be missed! The Welsh National Opera will be bringing an unforgettable night of opera favourites – from the beautiful O mio babbino caro (Giani Schicchi) to the instantly recognisable La donna è mobile (Rigoletto).

 

14th April – An Evening with Anton Du Beke, Venue Cymru

An evening with Anton Du Beke – need we say more? The Strictly Come Dancing legend and judge takes to the stage in Llandudno with his live band, a guest singer and his dancers, promising a night full of song, dance and laughter!

21st April – That’s Showbiz! Theatr Colwyn

Ryder Academi are proud to present their annual showcase – “That’s Showbiz!”

Featuring the ‘tiny footsteps of Baby Ballet’, Street-Dance and Acro tricks, the Ryder Academi future-stars will sing their favourite songs from the world of Pop and Musical Theatre. This promises to be a showcase that you won’t want to miss!

 

4th – 6th May – Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza

If you’re looking for an activity to enjoy with the whole family, visit the Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza this May Bank Holiday weekend in Llandudno. This annual event – Wales’ largest free annual family event – transforms the town into streets of fairground rides, gift stalls, Victorian steam engines and live entertainment throughout the weekend – there’s something for all to enjoy!

17th – 19th May – Trefriw Walking Festival, Conwy

When visiting Llandudno, you’ll want to explore the local area as much as possible, taking in all its natural beauty. Why not pair your exploring with a fun local event? The award-winning Trefriw Walking Festival takes place from the 17th – 19th May this year and is a great opportunity to meet new people – both local, and visitors like yourself, and gives the wonderful opportunity to explore the beautiful views and learn about the history and heritage of Eryri (Snowdonia)
